5 Factors How Collagen Weight Loss & Dietary Supplements Help You with Fat Reduction

Sleep Affects Weight More Than You Realize

Now that we have written some articles about the lack of sleep and how it affects your body fat, muscle, immune system, gastrointestinal system and digestive tract, (along with giving you cravings for the wrong foods), let’s talk about what we can do about it.

So there are some healthy diet supplements that you can use to help with losing weight. Some of them will help you lose weight in a day, some help you lose weight while you sleep like Sleep Weightloss product does.

Other products will help your digestive tract to get healthier.  You may not even know that pain the stomach and pain in the abdomen can be symptoms of needing probiotics to help you lose weight and digest food properly.  Maybe you need more fiber in your diet. We love the product FiberKlenz Plus by Greenwood Health.

There are a lot of factors

What advice would we give you? None, we are not allowed to give advice on the internet. But there have been enough articles written about losing weight in your sleep to point you to a collagen supplement for weight loss, an amino acid weightloss complex, a fiber supplement and probiotics.

Here is how that all works:

  • You need more fiber in your diet; most likely. Fiber will draw out toxins that cause fat to accumulate.
  • Probiotics keep the friendly bacteria in your digestive tract so you can use enzymes and breakdown food as well as keep away yeast which makes you tired.
  • Collagen repairs the body at night and builds healthy muscle tissue.  Therefore, collagen is behind gaining muscle and burning fat.
  • Amino acids are the building blocks of protein which is what collagen is made of.
  • Voila! The only thing else is to carb your appetite and cravings (Acai berry extract is our choice for this.) and if you want to speed things up a jump start diet like One Day Diet Wafers.

Sleep Problems

Just about one out of every ten people suffers with sleep problems of one kind or another. Sleep is very important to your overall health, and lack of sleep can have an adverse affect on your health. Many people think that when you sleep, your body is in a state of total rest and all of the body’s processes slow down. The fact is that some of the body’s physiological processes actually awaken while sleeping and become more active. For instance, activities of some hormones actually increase while sleeping.Sleep WeightLoss Supplements Infographics

When you suffer with sleep problems and are not getting enough sleep or experience uninterrupted sleep each night, your health is compromised. You are far more likely to end up becoming diabetic, gaining weight, and/or suffer from hypertension sooner if you don’t get a good night’s sleep. Studies conducted at the Free University in Belgium noted that individuals who don’t get adequate sleep over a prolonged period of time will most likely have problems with their weight, blood sugar, and high blood pressure.

Sleep Problems and Weight Gain

For the past few years now, studies conducted have shown that a lack of sleep can influence blood pressure, the immune system, and weight. In one particular study reported by the Department of Medicine (AVN and PDP), the General Clinical Research Center (JMK and JI), and the Department of Health Studies (KK), The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, and Nutritional Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI (DAS), inadequate sleep was directly linked to obesity. There are indications that endocrine regulation of hunger and appetite may also be affected by lack of sleep. In this particular study, researchers noted that sleep-deprived subjects ate normal meals, but ended up eating a lot more calories from snacking throughout the day than those who were not sleep-deprived.

When you are sleep-deprived, you can have difficulty losing weight and even maintaining weight. It has been documented that individuals who are well-rested have better overall health than those who are not. If you suffer with sleep problems, it is important to find out what the cause or causes may be and correct them as quickly as possible. It may be a simple matter of adding a natural supplement to your diet that will help you get a better night’s rest and help your body achieve proper balance.

5 Amazing Ways To Achieve Better Sleep and Weight Loss

5 Amazing Ways To Achieve Better Sleep and Weight Loss

Sleep Weight loss

The term “Sleep Weight Loss,” is really not something new. That is because it has been well documented that the amount of sleep you get does play a role in weight loss, weight gain, and/or maintaining one’s weight. Ideally while you sleep, your body is able to achieve hormonal balance and repair itself from the hard day it has had. This includes producing the right amounts of collagen and cortisol in order to achieve balance. The balances between these two are important when it comes to “sleep weight loss.”Sleep WeightLoss Supplements Infographics

Collagen is the biggest protein in the human body and it is the connective tissue for almost all of the body’s internal structures. As we age, collagen production slows down and it may be necessary to supplement one’s diet with a natural collagen supplement for weight loss in order to ensure that the body has the amount it needs to ward off health problems and improve metabolism. A poor metabolism hinders weight loss. In order to get a good night’s rest, your body needs to distress itself, whereby less cortisol is secreted and more collagen is produced. As with collagen, cortisol also plays an important role in how affectively our metabolism works. Studies have shown that elevated cortisol levels contribute to the buildup of abdominal fat.

How to Achieve Better Sleep and Weight Loss

The following are some tips that can help you achieve a good night’s rest, which then could lead to weight loss:

  1. Take a nice warm bath before bedtime and use essential oils such as lavender.
  2. Turn off the TV at bedtime and read a book instead.
  3. Dim the lights in your bedroom. Lights cause the pineal gland in your brain to slow down and not secrete melatonin, which is something you need in order to get a good night’s sleep.
  4. Eat well-balanced meals and ensure that you are getting all of the nutrients and proteins that your body needs to achieve optimal balance.
  5. Supplement your diet as needed with natural supplements that will help you achieve optimal health.

7 Helpful Tips To Lose Weight While Sleeping

Lose Weight While You Sleep

While you may have doubt, it is now well-documented that you can lose weight while you sleep. Studies reflect that the amount of sleep you get each night, as well as the quality of sleep you get, is linked to how your hormones work and is directly tied to your appetite. Due to these studies, it has been noted that you can actually lose weight while you sleep.

According to Dr. Sanjay Patel, a researcher at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, it is possible to lose weight while sleeping. In a 16-year study conducted by Dr. Patel and his colleagues, it is noted that individuals who slept five hours or less each night were 30% more likely to gain weight than those who got at least seven+ hours of sleep each night. It appears that sleep deprivation has an adverse affect on the body’s hormones that control appetite and metabolize fat.

In addition, it has been noted that when you are sleep-deprived, you are more likely to eat more, especially sugary foods such as chocolate, candy, and pastries. This is because of an increase in certain hormones that make your body crave simple carbohydrates that it can break down quickly for immediate energy.

Tips to Lose Weight While You Sleep

  1. Be sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night
  2. Eat at least 3 hours before bedtime and eat healthy nutritious meals.
  3. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine, especially in the late afternoon and evening.
  4. Lower the temperature and sleep with fewer blankets. It has been noted that you use more energy when you are colder.
  5. Get help for sleep disorders such as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea and other sleep problems tend to cause problems with energy levels, which can lead to a slower metabolism and weight gain.
  6. Exercise – while always beneficial when it comes to losing weight, it is important for those who exercise to be sure that their workouts end at least 2 hours before bedtime.
  7. Supplement your diet with weight loss natural supplements for missing proteins, amino acids, and other nutrients that your body needs on a daily basis.

Sleeping and Weight Loss Facts

Sleeping and weight loss? For years, dieters have been told that in order for them to lose weight, they need to count their calories, eat healthful foods, and exercise. More recent research, however, has found that getting a good night’s rest can actually help you shed those unwanted pounds. Today, sleeping and weight loss appear to go hand and hand.Sleep WeightLoss Supplements Infographics

Sleeping and Weight Loss Studies

Research gathered from numerous individual studies over the past few years has found a link between sleep and certain hormones that impact our eating behavior as well as our metabolism. In one study conducted on individuals between the ages of 30 and 60, Body Mass Index (BMI) levels were studied. It was found that study participants who only got three hours of sleep each night experienced a 5% increase in body weight, while participants who got 7 or more hours of sleep each night did not.

Most recently, researchers from the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin published results of a study in the Annals of Internal Medicine that looked at how sleep affects not only weight loss, but also the affect on actual fat and muscle loss. The study was conducted on 10 overweight, middle-aged participants (both men and women). The participants were confined to a hospital-like setting where not only their sleep, but also their caloric intake would be closely observed. Participants were given a reduced diet of 90% less than what they would normally eat. There were two phases to the study. The first involved participants sleeping 8.5 hours each night, while the other only 5.5 hours per night. During both phases, participants lost weight; however it was noted that a greater proportion of body fat was lost when the participants were allowed to sleep more. It was concluded that approximately 3.1 pounds of body fat were lost in the first phase, compared to about 1.3 pounds in the second phase. The implications of this study suggest that individuals who are sleep-deprived when dieting will lose lean body mass rather than the fat that they are really seeking to lose. Now, because lean body mass is linked to how one’s metabolism works, this can make things harder to lose fat if you are sleep-deprived.
